Hello From IN!

Hello Everyone! I'm blogging from my grandma's house in Indiana! I've not had time to write much, and my laptop is having issues, so I don't have any writings to post. :( Just wanted to let you all know that I won't be blogging to much while I'm out of town, but hopefully things will go back to normal once I get home. :)
Oh, another thing I was thinking about...the free writing exercises were all written from word prompts.  So, if you all want to leave a comment giving me a new prompt to write about, feel free!  Also if you write something from the same prompt, email  it to me (or PM through OYAN) and I'll put it in the post along with mine! It's interesting to see how different things can be, even if you start out with the same focal point. :) Even if you're not the one who came up with the prompt, and you want to write about it, feel free, I'll also post it if you want me to!

Boring Stuff Again :P

I'm going to post another free writing exercise! I know you're probably getting tired of them, but I don't know what else to post....so you're stuck with what I've got, and that happens to be a free-writing exercise! :P  So, the prompt for this one was Rebirth:

Through fire

Through ice.

Through love.

Through hate.

I gasp as my soul rekindles

Reawakes.

For years it lay dormant

Chained by my sin,

But now Someone new is living within.

My heart beats with purpose,

My mind’s filled with grace.

My soul’s filled with wonder,

At the new life I face.

Something Different :P

Today, I decided to keep my word to you, my most devoted readers, and I found something else.  Now feel free to laugh at it, as I wrote it a couple of years ago, and it isn't exactly my best work.  But anyway here's the beginning to a short story I wrote:

“A story! A story!” Cried the various sized children as they situated themselves on the floor. Before them stood a radiant, young woman. Overpoweringly graceful, she was admired by all who knew her. Staring at them with emerald eyes, she pushed a lock of her glorious, red hair behind her ear, and prepared herself for the telling of a wondrous tale.
They sat in an immense, marble bedroom, though some looked slightly out of place. Wearing robes and rags, children sat with each other, paying no attention to rank or class. Positioning themselves around the young lady in the bed, they all sat in rapt attention.

“Alright,” she said, getting herself settled in the oversized divan, “it began like this…”

Crying permeated the night, as a woman wept over the now tear stained letter she clutched in her hand. Careful not to wake up his sister, her youngest, now only son, crept down the stairs to comfort her. Quietly, he held his mother; her tears soaking through his tunic and dampening his skin. When there were no more tears left to cry, he still held her until she finally slipped into slumber. Picking up his mother’s slight form, he walked into her room and settled her in the bed. After he was sure she was in a comfortable position, he gently plucked the wrinkled paper from her hands.

He walked out of the bedroom and perched on the edge of a chair. Beginning to read, he discovered the reason for his mother’s wailing. “No,” he whispered softly as a tear glided down his cheek. When he had pulled himself together, he made his eyes meet the words so hurriedly written on the page. His brother was dead, killed in another man’s fight, and he, Taliesin, was expected to take his place. Who would be cruel enough to take the youngest son of a woman who had already lost her husband, and now oldest son for the cause? Glaring at the paper in his hands, he felt anger coursing through his veins, but along with it a keen sadness. Unsteadily he moved to the couch and lay there sobbing until slumber claimed him for its own.

I Lied :)

Ok, I told you I would put something different here today, but I lied. :( I wrote another free-writing thing yesterday, that I'm really excited about, so I guess you're stuck with another exercise today. :(  I really will try to find something different for tomorrow this time, unless I do something cooler. :P
So, here it is! The prompt was memories.

I sift through my mind.

I struggle to remember,

To not forget,

All that I’ve left behind.

I close my eyes and reach within,

To all that’s gone before.

The memories surface faster,

Almost at the speed of light.

The days I’ve spent in sadness,

The days I’ve spent in joy,

The days I’ve spent with family,

The days I wish I had done more.

Some memories still haunt me,

The ones I try hard to forget,

The ones that fill my heart with guilt

And smother my will to live.

Still memories of happy days,

Linger on inside my mind

Of days filled with laughter, sunshine and joy,

Of fires on winter nights.

Of family gathered round about,

Of friends both near and far,

Of days I triumphed over wrong,

And bowed my heart to my Lord.

The memories of days long past,

Are with me still today.

They help me, guide me

Through this time,

Making life worth the price I pay.

And Another one...

You all are going to get so tired of these things! :P  I'll try to post something different tomorrow, but today you're stuck with another free-writing thingy. (I still don't know what they're technically called! How sad is that?) :P  It's shorter than the others, but I hope you enjoy! :)

Dreams

Flitting softly through my head,

I watch you as you pass me by.

Scary, fun, and sad in kind,

I wonder why you haunt me.

Are you figments of my imagination,

Or memories from long ago?

Do you show me what I want to see,

Or make clearer what I strive to hide?

You fill my mind with wonder,

As I slumber through the night.

Another Free-Writing Exercise :)

Ok, here's another free-writing exercise...I guess you probably could have guessed from the title, but I felt the need to tell you again anyway. :P  So the prompt word for this was memory, a wish, or a dream, and this is what came out! :D

I wish for love so tender, so true.

I wish for love that lasts.

I wish for someone to hold me in their arms,

And whisper softly, “I love you.”

I wish for friends to ease lives pains,

A friend to protect and defend.

A friend to listen to, cherish and hold,

And give to without end.

I wish for dreams to fill my life,

To work hard and make them real.

To make all that my young heart desires,

Something I can touch, see, and feel.

I wish for these with all my heart,

But perhaps I’d better pray,

My God provide for His dear child,

And with love, prepare the way.

Just a little something...

Ok, here's a small...I don't know exactly what you call it...but I was challenged to write in the style by a fellow OYANer.  It's kind of difficult for me to write, but I'm hoping to get used to it. :P So...I guess if you could let me know what you guys think, that would be great! :D

I look into your eyes and see,

Trust beyond all compare.

I see the want of friendship in your eyes,

Feel the longing in your heart.

You open up your soul to me,

Sharing all, holding none back.

The measure of love you extend astounds me!

To show how much you mean to me,

I pour my soul back to you.

My thoughts, my dreams, my wrong desires,

With you I willfully share.

You help me, test me, watch me

As I struggle through this life,

And I know you’re always there.

Ready to hold me accountable,

Ready to give comfort, and hold me when I fail.

With you there is no doubt of love,

With you I am the best that I can be.

Under Construction...(did I spell that righ?....oh well...)

Ok, right now my blog is under construction.  I'm in the process of trying to turn it into a writing blog, where I can post some stuff that I've written and you can give me feed back.  Now this doesn't mean that my sarcastic retellings of my day will end, which I know will make you happy. :)  I'll throw one in every now and again, just to keep things interesting.

November 10

Hello everyone!  Ok, so I'm very behind, and I'm not even going to attempt to catch up :)
Today I worked long and hard on my NaNoWriMo Novel, but things are still going slow! :(  I'm only up to 11,218 words; I need some new motivation!
I also had church, which went well, and I got to see my friends whom I haven't seen in a week because I've been gone! :(  I hate not being able to see my friends, it makes me sad and grumpy. :)
That's about it!  I might post some pics of Kentucky later, but I'm not sure, I feeling kinda lazy :P

October 28-30 *sigh*

Hi!  So I missed two days posting on my blog, it is the end of the world as we know it!!! Just kidding, *another sigh*  I'm feeling rather extremely emotionally compromised today, so bear with me.
So the 28th was my Birthday Party, and I think it went really well!  Everyone seemed to have a good time :D.  We didn't really do anything I had planned, but we had way more fun than we would have if we did! :)  We had dinner (grilled chicken, salad, baked potatoes, and rolls), cake (chocolate with chocolate icing and mint cookies and cream ice cream in the middle), opened presents :) (Wonderful presents, I loved them all!!!!!).  We talked for the rest of the time!!  We had amazing conversations and took funny pictures. :)
At about 11:30 we put in Inkheart and went "to bed."  Everyone but Jenn fell asleep during the movie, but we all woke up at the end (1:00ish).  Then we all went back to bed until Skye and I woke up at 6:00!!!  We then talked till 8:30 and then promptly fell back asleep!!!  Hadley told us we would never fall back to sleep, so of course we had to just to prove her wrong. :D
We woke up at 11:30 (sometime between 8:30 and 11:30 Jenn left) to the sad news the Lizzie had hydrogen peroxide in her eye (through her contacts).  Shortly after we had breakfast (cheese danish!!) and then the Brook girls left and Skye and I played x-box with Riley till Conversations with Jane.
So we had our Jane Austen meeting, and everything went well I think, but now I have to finish Northanger Abbey, the extra reading, and my Austen blog project :)  so I'll be busy these next two weeks!!
Well, since you're probably bored out of your mind, I guess I'll stop talking now. :D

October 28

Ok, this is my third and final time of trying to post today!  If this doesn't work, I'm done!  The two previous times I tried today, the stupid website messed up and didn't post it!!!!! :(
Anyway, tonight is my birthday party!  I'm super excited, and I hope everything goes well! I also think we might make some dominoes tonight, then everyone could take some home!
Umm...umm...Here's the quote of the day!! "Everyone has a photographic memory! Some just don't have film!" :) Isn't that great!!!  I only put that in here because I don't know what else to say, but isn't it hystaricle?!?!?!?
Well, I don't have anything else to say that would interest you so I'll shut up now! :)
I've noticed I'm a very sarcastic individual when I post on here, I'm not usually like that...Oh well!!
I'm leaving, I'm leaving!!!

October 27...Again

Wow! I'm posting twice in one day!!  This is getting a little scary! :D
I just got back from my last soccer game! *sob*  We lost!!  We were winning the first half 4-1, then our goalie had to leave and our new one refused to use his hands!!! *screams* (don't worry, I only punched him once...seriously)  Then one of the girls who plays CENTER DEFENSE (I think she forgot this fact) let everybody by her, and then yelled at us when things went badly!  Then if that weren't bad enough, one of our OWN PLAYERS scored a goal on US!!!!!  Then our goalie kicked (since for some reason he was not using his hands!!!) a ball which then hit the guy right in front of him and bounced in the goal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok, I'm done ranting now. *tries to calm herself, but it isn't working very well*
Anyway, tomorrow is my party so more cleaning house and grocery shopping tomorrow!
And now I need to take a shower, read Northanger Abbey and then go to bed!!

October 27

Hello O Nonexistent ones! How are we all doing this morning? :)
I'm doing well, I just had a cup of tea! I love tea, but you don't really care, do you?
I have my last soccer game tonight, and the weather looks pretty good so we shouldn't have to cancel! Yay! This is the last game, but several of the people on my team won't be there! That makes me cry inside, in my special...angry place! (let's hear it for Parker!)
Today I'm stuck doing school and cleaning house for my Birthday party tomorrow night! I'm excited, but I keep forgetting all about it! I don't know exactly what we're going to do, probably play some games and watch a movie, but other than that... who knows?! :)
Well, that's pretty much all I have to say, so I'll close now.

October 21

Ha ha! I'm back my nonexistant fans! You thought you got rid of me, but no! I'm am more powerful than you realize! :)

Anyway...

I'm obviously still doing school :( But I started a new writing program this year, where I'm suppose to write a novel in a year! So I'm pretty excited about that :). Other than that it's the regular math, science, grammar....blah. That's really all I have to say! :P

Oh, I'm also doing soccer again, but my season's almost over! :( The last game was suppose to be tonight's, but I think we're having a make-up game next Wednesday!! Hurrah!

Well, I guess since no one will ever read this anyway, I'll close now :)

March 16

Good afternoon, o' nonexistent readers! Today I have KCC again, which is fun because I only dislike one of the four songs we're doing. For that last four days I have had something to do with some choir.
And tonight we are having an early Green Dinner, in honour of St. Patrick's Day, with the Brooks.
And that's pretty much it, except for school, so I will close now.

March 15

I started the day with singing! Hadley and I volunteered to sing (with KCC) for a senior arts program thingy. We sang and warmed up for them, and then sang three songs, which I think they enjoyed. The bad part: we had to wear concert attire. :( Yes, we had to wear our expensive, somewhat not flattering, and definitely not comfortable dresses. :)
After that I came home and cleaned, ate popcorn, and added to my novel.
Tonight is our intro night at dance, so I'm looking forward to that, but I have to wear a skirt. That's TWICE in ONE day that I've had to wear something that doesn't have legs. Horror of horrors!

March 13

Hello! Today it is raining, but I love rain, so that's quite alright with me.
Today I had to get up before eight, as I had choir practice this morning. I guess I'm happy about that, I love the songs we're doing, especially one or two of them. :)
Then when I got home, I ate lunch and decorated some more dominoes. That's it, I don't have anything for the rest of the day!!! :)

March 12

I'm still sick today! I hate being sick, but it gives me time to relax and think, so at least that's one good thing that comes from it. :) I've been working on a story, that will hopefully become a novel.
I recently attended the Florida Christian Writers Conference, and was amazed at how much I learned. I met so many friendly people, including some of my favourite authors, Angela Elwell Hunt, Bryan Davis, Nancy Rue, and Jerry B. Jenkins.
The whole experience was just wonderful, and I think anyone who wishes to be a writer should attend this conference, it will change your life in many ways.

March 11

The fonts here are so boring, but I shall make the best of it.
Today my best friends the Brooks came over to spend the night, and we watched Matrix. Shortly afterward (now) we are being forced to go to bed, by my older sister Hadley. This does not please me, as I feel strangely energized, but tomorrow is a long day, so I shall do my best to obey her commands. Yes, I do tend to be a trifle dramatic.
Well, this is Lei saying an unwillful goodnight!
