Boo! >:D

Yes, I have come back!!!! :D I have decided to return to the world of blogging!  So, here's something I wrote just kind of off the top of my head. :) Not exactly happy or inspiring...but, yeah...

The pain spirals,

The hurt’s so clear.

Anguished cries fill my soul,

And I wonder if you hear?

Do you hear all the things I say?

Do you notice all I try to do?

Is everything I say in vain?

Do my strained smiles ever reach you?

Do my choked back tears make no difference?

Does my friendship fall flat, never to be returned?

Do I even matter to you?

Are the “I love you’s” just a sham?

Are the hugs a cover up?

Are the words whispered softly in my ear, just part of a mask you wear?

For Aimee

I love you, Sis. <3

The pain I see so clear,

It haunts my every thought

I long to take your burden from you

But it’s not something I can give.

My heart yearns to understand,

To show my love, to make you believe

In the amazing person I think you are.

Another Scene from my OYAN :)

Okay, here is another scene from my OYAN...it contains a pretty big spoiler, so if you don't want to know what's going to happen, don't read it! :P  I just need help because I don't think it's emotional enough! So if you have any tips, they would be greatly appreciated!!! :D

I looked at him, unsure of what to think.

“I’m sorry Rae, but I have to do this.”

“Why? I thought you were my friend! But you’re no better than Keeran!”

“Give me the amulet, Rae.”

I looked down at the small, minor gem resting in my palm. How could something that looked so insignificant be worth all the lives lost searching for it? Was it worth another one?

“Rael, give me the amulet, or say good bye to the boy.”

“I—I can’t!”

Aro’s eyes filled with dread. “Stupid girl! You’re not supposed to do this! He said you would give me the amulet in return for the boy’s life!”

“Who is he, Aro? Tell me!”

“I can’t tell you. He’ll….he’ll kill me.” Aro repositioned his hand on the knife and pushed down harder on Coradel’s neck. “Now, give me the stone, or he will die.”

I looked again at the stone, then up at Coradel, his young face twisted in pain. “Here. Take it.”

Aro’s eyes gleamed as he looked down at my hand. Reaching out, he pushed Coradel at me, and made a grab for the gem... And I let him have it. To me, the stone wasn’t worth that much.

“Thank you, Rael. It’s been a pleasure.” With these words, Aro spun around, and left the cavern, gem clutched firmly in his hand.

I hugged Coradel close, thankful that we had both made it out of the situation alive. Yes, I was alive, but a part of me was certainly dead. Why was I surprised that there would be another betrayal in my life? I should be used to it by now…but I had let him get too close. He was just like Keeran. And why not? They were cousins, I should have expected it.

Tears pooled in my eyes, and I blinked fast to push them away, but it didn’t work. Instead they ran down my cheeks, a silent tribute to friendship lost.

*Blushes*

Wow...I haven't posted in a long time....*blushes again* Anyway! I have a new free-writing exercise! *listens to readers groan* Yeah, I know...but I will be posting another scene from my OYAN soon...hopefully...so, just bear with me!! *laughs*
So, actually with this, I didn't have a prompt, this one just came from me needing to get some emotions out. *smiles* I hope you enjoy!!! :D

The anger stays,

So close, so near,

It haunts my every thought.

The anger pulses hot within,

But my heart does not its fire feel.

Two friends are hurt,

Two friends need healed,

Two friends whom I must comfort,

But is it something I can give?

Do I offer too little?

Do I ask too much?

Do I hurt more than I help?

My heart I pour out hesitantly,

Afraid of rejection's sharp edge,

Is it acknowledged? Ignored?

My friends I’m reaching out to you,

But I can only reach so far.

Let me give all that I can,

Let me help heal your wounded heart.

*Thinks*

Hello Everyone!  So, I don't have anything of my OYAN to share...because I've procrastinated....but anyway, I will soon!  But for today, I'm just going to give you a short (which I'm sure you're all very happy about) free writing exercise.  The prompt for this was silence, but like I said, it's really short. :)

The quiet falls, and with it, dread.

If fills my heart, it fills my head.

The world around me slumbers still,

As the silence echoes till,

All around me quake fear,

At all that goes unspoken here.

OYAN Novel Scene

AH!! I really need to think of different titles, because it totally ruins what I'm going to say here! *glares at title*  Anyway, as the annoying thing above says, this is a scene I'm hoping to be able to use in my OYAN novel! :D  If you haven't read my synopsis, this is from the view of my protagonist Rael.  Hope you enjoy! And if you have any tips or correctings, comment, email, or PM me :P

I looked around. All was dark, all was quiet; everything was going just how I wanted it to. Skulking towards the bed, I pulled my favorite knife from its sheath. As I approached, I had a strange feeling all was not as it should be. Upon closer observance, the body in the bed was oddly proportioned, with arms and legs sticking out at odd angles.

I closed my eyes and breathed in deeply. I had been set up. There was no one in the bed, I was getting no money for this job, and I might not escape it with my life. Forcing myself to be calm, I quickly ran through a mental list of escape possibilities. Deciding the window would be the best way out, I started towards it only to turn and look back at the bed. I had to be sure. No money meant I wouldn’t be eating for the rest of the week and I couldn’t take that chance. Of course I could just steal something, but being paid to steal something for someone else is different than stealing for myself.

When I was about four feet away, knife raised, I felt a tingling across my legs. “Blast!” I really hate magic.

I held still, hoping I hadn’t triggered, only brushed the magic line. That I wasn’t dead was a good clue, but you could never be sure. I stepped back slowly, then sprinted for the window which was looking better by the second. I threw myself at it, hoping I would survive the fall. But I didn’t go through.

My head hit a magical barrier that set my short hair on end and sent tingles up and down my body. I take back what I said about hating magic. I loathe it. Magic is what people pay too much for that gets folks in trouble and ruins people’s honest lives! Well in my case, maybe not so honest, but still…you see my point.

I swirled around looking for another escape route. Nothing. I would have to go back through the house. Catapulting myself down the stairs, relieved to have left the room, I was rather careless. What I mean is I didn’t notice that I’d walked through a cord of magic till I felt the spark of it on my skin. Double blast.

I might as well go on now. With no regard to my surroundings, I dashed through the house. Reaching the door, I hurled it open and threw myself outside. Right at the feet of the provost guard.

It Ish here! :P

I am finally posting my OYAN synopsis! If any of you care to read it...*hint, hint* Please let me know if you like it, something should be changed, or it's a lame idea that is a complete waste of time.  So, here it is! *posts and hides*

Rael is a common city thief, who after a botched job gets thrown into something more dangerous than she would have thought possible. The race is on to find the amulet that could either save the Empire, or destroy it. But she is not the only one after the gem. Sarmad, Emperor’s Magician is also in search of the stone. Will Rael do what she has feared all her life, and in doing so acknowledge a part of herself kept long buried? Will she accept the man that has been waiting for her? Or will she reject the penitent love and stay hidden, letting Sarmad carry out his plans in return for some sort of freedom?

See, I told you it was lame! :P...just kidding...I think... *laughing* *leaves before she can think of something else rediculous to say* Ah! Too late!! *kicks herself off of blog* Seriously, I'm really leaving this time...

Hello Peoples!!

Hello...again...*facepalm* Why do I always sound so stupid when I write these?! :)
Anyway...I have another free-writing exercises *readers groan in distress* I'm sorry, it's all I've got at the moment...although I will be putting my OYAN synopsis up possibly either tomorrow or Monday. :)
But anyway, here's the exercise, the prompt being acceptance. :D

I see the way they look at you.

The way they laugh,

The way they talk.

I see the hurt that fills your eyes

As you wonder at the contempt,

The disdain, no smile can hide.

I feel the need to reach out.

To comfort you.

I pull you into my arms,

I hold you close,

I tell you how much your life is worth.

I smile as you life your head,

I see your eyes empty of the dread,

That so often haunted your every step,

Your every thought, till there was nothing left.

Your friend forever I will be,

In honour of those who accepted me.

The ones who lifted me, gave me a hand.

The ones who showed me how to take stand.

For all that I believed was right,

So I could help you here tonight.

*Sigh*

Ah!! I have not posted this entire year!!! *runs around screaming* *remembers that someone might actually read what she is writing* *embarrassed cough* Sorry about that...
Anyway...I hope everyone is having an amazing 2011!  Who knows what it will hold for all of us, but I hope it will be a year that gives us wonderful memories, and if not, then at least makes us thankful for what we had last year.
So, I wrote another free-writing exercise, this time with follower Reaganrocket04! Our word was Perseverance, and I'm going to post both of them here (with his permission) so that you can see the different results from the same word. :)

Reagan's:

Looking ahead

not looking back

continuing on

pursuing a goal

no matter the adversity

no matter the success

no matter the loss

no matter the gain

striving for the prize again and again

not stopping

pressing on

no matter the suffering

no matter the pain

no matter the opposition

no matter how insane

pushing forward again and again

Mine:

I push

I struggle

I try to breathe.

I cry out

Against all that ties me down.

I must go on,

I must not stop

Until I've served my purpose.

The chains are heavy,

The grief is strong,

But I decide to carry on.

To push through all that's in my way,

I must serve my Saviour well today.

I must be strong,

Must be steadfast,

Until I fulfull my every task

To walk with Him each and everyday,

To let my Saviour have his way.

Hello From IN!

Hello Everyone! I'm blogging from my grandma's house in Indiana! I've not had time to write much, and my laptop is having issues, so I don't have any writings to post. :( Just wanted to let you all know that I won't be blogging to much while I'm out of town, but hopefully things will go back to normal once I get home. :)
Oh, another thing I was thinking about...the free writing exercises were all written from word prompts.  So, if you all want to leave a comment giving me a new prompt to write about, feel free!  Also if you write something from the same prompt, email  it to me (or PM through OYAN) and I'll put it in the post along with mine! It's interesting to see how different things can be, even if you start out with the same focal point. :) Even if you're not the one who came up with the prompt, and you want to write about it, feel free, I'll also post it if you want me to!
